Sometimes biblical counseling can be like giving a tour in a city you know well: You know what to point out that people wouldn’t see on their own, how to give directions, and what sections of town to avoid. At other times though, this ministry can feel more like getting lost in a foreign city: You don’t know what’s around the corner, and any thought of giving someone else directions seems crazy.
